They will also benefit from a big backyard with many things to keep them busy such as toys. Having another dog to play with is also a way of reducing the exercise sessions you need to be a part of.
Am I the Ideal owner for a Beagle?
Due to the wandering nose of beagles, training can take you longer than usual and if you’re patient, you will do better with this breed. You will likely need a well fenced backyard and putting in the time to play and provide stimulation for a cheeky pooch like this is necessary.
If you get Beagle puppies, keep in mind that they are pack animals and are less likely to become destructive if they have some company during the day, either people or another dog is great.
