About Suitable Puppies
What can we say… we LOVE dogs! In general we have a strong passion for most animals however there is something special about the way dogs can put an instant smile on our faces. If there is another animal out there that can show more loyalty and devotion towards us than our dogs then please tell us which animal it is. Maybe then we will make a site about them too!
Hi, I am Shell and one half of the Suitable Puppies team. I live in Melbourne Australia with my two adorable companions, Archie and Brandy. To put it simply, they are my two best friends, especially when we have nap time on the couch. Working as a Vet Nurse I get to fulfill my daily puppy fix caring and playing with as many dogs as I can. Four years in the industry has taught me a lot, not just about the health care for pets but also their behavioral traits and the personalities of different breeds. I cringe at the thought of working in a job where I don’t work with animals. In fact on weekends I love attending dog shows and animal exhibitions. Of course that is when I am not taking Brandy and Archie for their much loved daily walk.
Hi I am Jason and the other half of the Suitable Puppies team. Growing up in Melbourne, Australia I have always had dogs in my life and never would I consider changing that. As a kid I loved spending time training my dogs with my dad after he would come back from obedience training. It was then that I realized, the better trained my dog was, the better bond I had with them. Dazza (aka Dazz Mazz) is my best friend and continually surprises and amazes me on a daily basis. Being an active companion, we have a blast together when we go on walks and play fetch. Working from home I get to spend a lot of time with Dazza and that is just the way we like it. Our reasons behind this site began when we realized more and more dogs were being abandoned and mistreated. Trying to figure out a way to reduce this we wanted to attack the problem at its core. We found it all begins with educating people BEFORE they choose their next best friend. It may not make a massive difference but if we can educate just one person on choosing a dog that better suits them than another, then all the hard work will have been worth it. Our future goals include continuing to educate people about choosing a dog as well as helping to re-home lost and abandoned dogs with new loving families. Eventually we would love to start our own shelter and care facility for dogs to help achieve this. We hope you find our site enjoyable but most importantly, informative.
