We all are drawn in by the adorable puppy with its unusually appealing breath, the uncoordinated bounding and innocent tiny bark. We all think this is the perfect dog for us.

However, within 12 months our cute little pooch has grown and doesn't quite fit in with our lifestyle. We may have bought a Maltese to herd our cattle, or a Rottweiler to sit on our lap as we watched the latest TV series. Things are not quite the same as when we bought our new friend, we didn't suit our dog to our environment.
